The 4U Industrial computer is an heavy duty case that can house multiple system configurations. There is also Jumbo version available that can provide up to 14 expansion slots.

It can be desktop or rack mounted. The rack flanges and handles are optional dependant on use. The case is designed to fit a standard 19” rack.

Case covers vary, but black is normally provided for railway environments.

• The unit is constructed of heavy duty steel with an aluminium front. It complies with safety standards UL, CSA, TUV, FCC, CE.
• It has a minimum 330W power supply and operates in temperatures ranging from zero to 55 degrees centigrade.
• Various slot configurations are available to suit specific requirements, but will typically include 8 ISA slots and 4 PC slots (1 PCI slot is usually occupied by the SBC).
• There are two removable / washable air filters in the front of the unit with their fans behind them.
• The switches and drive bays are protected by a lockable hinged door.
• Drive bays include 3x 5.25” and 1x3.5”.
• The Single Board Computer (SBC). The minimum requirements are:

·         Processor speed 1Ghz.

·         Minimum 256Mb RAM.

·         2 serial ports, 1 parallel port

·         Onboard VGA providing 1024x768 resolution or better

• Hard Drive 40Gb or larger.
• Optional cards and connectors:

·         Additional comm. ports RS232 / 422 / 485.

·         USB ports.

·         CCM / VGA Video cards.

·         Additional Parallel ports.

·         Sound Card for Public Announcements or audio presentation.
